Robbie Knievel, the son of legendary daredevil Evel Knievel, died early Friday.  He was 60 years old.

According to reports, Robbie Knievel spent his final days in the hospital after a battle with cancer.

The stuntman is known as Captain Robbie Knievel and has followed in his father's footsteps since childhood, performing at Madison Square Garden when he was eight years old.

He started riding a bike at the age of 4 and has performed over 350 jumps in his stunt career.

Knievel set 20 jumping records, including a successful dive at Caesars Palace in 1989. His father had tried before but failed.

Daredevil's other infamous stunts include the 30-foot limo jump, the Grand Canyon jump, and the USS Intrepid jump.

Knievel, whose father  died in November 2007 at the age of 69, played his last game at Coachella, Calif., in 2011 by jumping 50 feet over a tractor-trailer at Spotlight 29 Casino.

He also gave fans a glimpse of his stunts and preparation on the 2005 show "Knievel's Wild Ride."

Knievel is survived by his daughters, Krysten and Karmen, and his grandchildren, Analise and Kane.
