Nets G Ben Simmons out with left knee soreness against Magic

Brooklyn Nets goaltender Ben Simmons left during the first half of Monday's game against the visiting Orlando Magic with left knee pain. 

Simmons finished with four rebounds, three assists and no points on 0-of-3 shooting in over 11 minutes. 

Coach Jacque Vaughn said after the game that Simmons was in pain and asked for the game. 

Health is the most important thing, so we want him to be at his best, " Kyrie Irving said. 

The six-foot-10 Australian has missed six games this season with a knee problem. 

but he has impressed in recent games since his return. He is coming back from back surgery in the offseason. 

Ben Simmons' recent recovery was cut short on Monday when he left the Brooklyn Nets' 109-102 win over the Orlando Magic with left knee pain. 

Simmons has averaged 10.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists during the month of November.
